Job summary

TeacherActive is partnered with a SEND school in Oxford seeking a Class Teacher with UK QTS and experience with autism and complex needs. The role spans primary or early years frameworks within a SEN environment and involves working with a dedicated team to support vulnerable learners.

Reporting to senior staff, you will implement the bespoke curriculum, adapt lessons for cognition and communication needs, and contribute to a compassionate, inclusive ethos across the setting.

Qualifications

• Must hold UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
• Experience with children and young people with autism and complex needs.
• Experience delivering therapies or therapeutic practices in a school setting.

Responsibilities

• Deliver primary or EYFS curriculum to learners with SEND.
• Line manage teaching support staff and coordinate lesson requirements.
• Support students with ASD and challenging behaviours in a safe environment.
• Follow the school's bespoke curriculum framework and enable communication for learners.
