Job summary

Prospero Teaching is seeking an experienced SEND Teacher to lead a mixed KS1-KS2 class with pupils working below the national curriculum. The role involves delivering personalised lessons for students with complex needs, including autism and SEMH, and collaborating with SEN staff and families to ensure consistent support.

Candidates should hold QTS or equivalent, have SEN experience or strong knowledge, and be committed to inclusive education.

Qualifications

• Experience teaching in an SEN setting (or strong SEN knowledge within a mainstream environment).
• Deliver high-quality, personalised teaching for pupils across KS2 with a focus on complex needs.
• Plan, adapt, and differentiate engaging lessons to meet EHCP outcomes and developmental milestones.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, personalised teaching for pupils across KS2, with a focus on complex needs
• Plan, adapt, and differentiate engaging lessons to meet EHCP outcomes, developmental milestones, and sensory requirements
• Support pupils' holistic development—academic, social, emotional, and communication skills
• Collaborate with the SENCO, learning support staff, therapists, and families to provide a consistent approach
• Monitor pupil progress, contribute to reports, and participate in MDT meetings
