Job summary

Unique School Solutions are supporting a large SEND school in Rotherham, specialising in ASD and PDA, seeking a SEND teacher to cover maternity leave from November 2026.

You will plan, deliver and assess bespoke schemes of work across ages 5–19, leading a team of teaching assistants (1:1 or 2:1) to meet individual needs.

The role is full-time, term-time only, 35.5 hours per week, with a daily rate of £175–£241 plus SEND allowance.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children with Special Educational Needs, preferably ASD or PDA.
• Ability to plan and deliver bespoke schemes of work across a range of age groups.
• Ability to lead teaching assistants and manage large TA teams.
• Committed to supporting pupils in a SEND environment.

Responsibilities

• Plan, deliver and assess bespoke schemes of work to meet student needs.
• Lead and manage a team of teaching assistants (1:1 or 2:1 support).
• Monitor student progress and adapt approaches accordingly.
• Maintain professional standards and collaborate with school leadership.
