Vision For Education Ltd. in Wigan is seeking a dedicated SEND Teacher to deliver engaging, personalised learning for pupils with Autism and complex needs aged 4–19.

This full-time, temporary role involves delivering high-quality lessons within a nurturing, multi-sensory environment and collaborating with therapists, support staff, and leaders to support each learner's progress. You will tailor teaching across a broad curriculum, support wellbeing, promote independence and build life skills,

Qualifications

  • QTS/QTLS or equivalent teaching qualification required.
  • Experience teaching pupils with SEND in specialist or inclusive settings.
  • Strong understanding of Autism and complex learning needs.
  • Ability to adapt lessons to a wide range of abilities and contexts.
  • Effective communication with pupils, families, and colleagues.
  • Commitment to inclusive education and pupil wellbeing.

SEND Teacher (full-time, temporary)

£800 - £1100 per week PAYE (salary is dependent on experience and/or qualifications)

The School and Role

A vibrant and highly regarded special needs school in Wigan is seeking a dedicated full-time SEND Teacher to deliver engaging, personalised learning for pupils with Autism and complex needs. Supporting students aged 4–19, the school provides outstanding multi-sensory education and care within a nurturing, well-resourced environment where individual progress is celebrated and every child is valued.

Pupils’ abilities and learning profiles vary widely, offering you the opportunity to use your creativity, flexibility, and professional expertise to adapt teaching across a broad, meaningful curriculum. You will work closely with experienced support staff, therapists, and senior leaders to create inclusive learning experiences that help pupils build confidence, independence, and life skills.

This is a highly rewarding role for teachers who are passionate about specialist education and are seeking a setting where relationships, collaboration, and pupil wellbeing sit alongside academic development.

Requirements
  • Hold a recognised UK teaching qualification (QTS/QTLS or equivalent)
  • Have experience working with pupils with SEND, either in a specialist or inclusive mainstream setting
  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of Autism, complex needs, and differentiated teaching approaches
  • Be creative, adaptable, and reflective, with the ability to tailor learning to a wide range of abilities
  • Communicate effectively with pupils, families, and multidisciplinary teams
  • Show a genuine commitment to inclusive education, pupil wellbeing, and lifelong learning
