Job summary

Milk Education is seeking a dedicated SEND Primary Teacher to join a well-established specialist provision in Middlesbrough. The role welcomes both experienced teachers and Early Career Teachers (ECTs) and focuses on supporting pupils with a range of SEND through personalised and nurturing approaches.

You will plan engaging lessons, manage behaviour, and work with families and professionals to enable every learner to achieve their full potential within KS1/KS2.

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) required.
• Experience teaching across KS1/KS2, ideally in SEND.
• Strong behaviour management knowledge and its application.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with pupils, families, colleagues and professionals.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver personalised learning for SEND pupils.
• Create inclusive, engaging lessons in a dedicated SEND provision.
• Maintain high professional standards and promote wellbeing.
• Support learning across individuals, small groups and whole-class settings.

SEND Primary Teacher – Middlesbrough

Milk Education is seeking a dedicated, enthusiastic and qualified SEND Teacher to join a well-established specialist provision in Middlesbrough. We welcome applications from both experienced teachers and Early Career Teachers (ECTs).

SEND Primary Teacher – Key Responsibilities

• Apply a strong and up-to-date understanding of teaching, learning, and behaviour management strategies, adapting approaches to meet individual pupil needs
• Plan and deliver personalised learning experiences that enable all pupils to progress and succeed
• Maintain high standards of professionalism, promoting positive values and attitudes at all times
• Create a structured, engaging, and supportive classroom environment through effective organisation and use of resources
• Manage and support learning across individuals, small groups, and whole-class settings, adapting teaching as required throughout lessons

SEND Primary Teacher – Essential Criteria

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Experience teaching across Key Stages 1 and/or 2, ideally within a SEND setting
• Strong knowledge of behaviour management strategies and the ability to apply them effectively
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, when working with pupils, families, colleagues, and external professionals
