Milk Education is recruiting for SEN teaching roles in Stockton-On-Tees. We are seeking caring, enthusiastic teachers to support KS1/KS2 pupils with SEND in primary schools from September 2026.

Formación

• Experience working with children or young people with SEND is desirable.
• Experience in a Primary or SEN school setting is advantageous.
• Understanding of ASC, ADHD, SEMH, Speech and Language needs, and challenging behaviour.
• Patient, caring and resilient approach; strong teamwork.

Responsabilidades

• Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with SEND.
• Support children with ASC, ADHD, Speech and Language needs, SEMH, and other needs.
• Work with the class teacher and SENCO to implement personalised plans.
• Adapt learning activities to meet individual pupil needs.
• Promote positive behaviour using consistent strategies.
• Encourage pupils' confidence, independence and wellbeing.
• Build positive relationships with pupils, parents and staff.
• Support with classroom routines and learning interventions.
• Assist with personal care where required.
• Follow safeguarding and child protection procedures.

SEN Teaching - Stockton-On-Tees

Milk Education is working with a number of welcoming and supportive Primary Schools across Stockton and the surrounding areas and is looking to recruit caring, enthusiastic, and dedicated SEN qualified teachersto join schools from September 2026.

If you're an experienced SEN Teacher with experience in KS1 and KS2we'd love to hear from you. We have a range of long-term, full-time opportunities available, with the potential to become permanent for the right candidate.

You'll play a vital role in supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), helping to remove barriers to learning while creating a safe, nurturing, and inclusive environment where every child can reach their full potential.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).
• Support children with Autism (ASC), ADHD, Speech and Language needs, SEMH, and other additional learning needs.
• Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement personalised learning plans and EHCP targets.
• Adapt learning activities to meet individual pupil needs.
• Promote positive behaviour using consistent behaviour management strategies.
• Encourage pupils' confidence, independence, and emotional wellbeing.
• Build positive relationships with pupils, parents, carers, and colleagues.
• Support pupils with classroom routines, learning interventions, and educational activities.
• Assist with personal care where required.
• Follow safeguarding and child protection procedures at all times.

Skills, Qualifications & Experience

• Previous experience working with children or young people with SEND is desirable.
• Experience working within a Primary School, SEN School, Alternative Provision, Care, Youth Work, or Support Worker setting is advantageous.
• Understanding of Autism (ASC), ADHD, SEMH, Speech and Language needs, and challenging behaviour.
• A patient, caring, and resilient approach.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and families.
• A genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs to achieve their full potential.

This role is paid within the advertised pay scale. Your starting rate will be determined by your qualifications, relevant experience, and the requirements of the assignment.
