TeacherActive is proudly recruiting on behalf of a welcoming 1-form entry primary school in Streatham, looking for a confident, dedicated and experienced SEND Teacher to join their team!

This is a fantastic opportunity for a teacher who is passionate about supporting pupils with additional needs and has the confidence to manage challenging behaviour while creating a positive, structured and engaging learning environment.

Qualifications

• QTS or equivalent teaching qualification is essential.
• Proven experience supporting pupils with challenging behaviour is essential.
• Experience teaching children with SEND, including ASD, ADHD and SEMH needs.
• Strong classroom management and communication skills.
• A patient, resilient and nurturing approach.
• A genuine passion for inclusive education and helping every child succeed.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to pupils with SEND.
• Support children with a range of additional learning, emotional and behavioural needs.
• Implement effective behaviour management strategies to create a calm and supportive classroom.
• Work closely with teaching assistants, the SENCo and wider school team.
• Adapt teaching approaches to meet individual learning needs and help pupils reach their full potential.
• Build positive relationships with pupils, parents and colleagues.
