Envision Education in North West London is seeking a SEND Primary Teacher to deliver engaging, differentiated lessons for pupils with additional needs. You will work within a specialist setting to support academic progress, communication, independence and social development.

Qualifications

  • QTS or equivalent teaching qualification is required.

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic SEND Primary Teacher to join a specialist education setting in North West London. The Role

As a SEND Primary Teacher, you will deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to the individual needs, abilities and developmental stages of your pupils. You will play a key role in supporting their academic progress, communication, independence and social development.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan and deliver creative, engaging lessons tailored to pupils with a range of additional needs.
  • Adapt teaching strategies and resources to support individual learning styles and abilities.
  • Develop and implement personalised learning plans and individual targets.
  • Create a safe, nurturing and structured classroom environment.
  • Work collaboratively with Teaching Assistants, therapists, parents and other professionals.
  • Monitor pupil progress and celebrate individual achievements.
  • Support pupils' communication, emotional regulation, confidence and independence.
  • Promote positive behaviour through consistent, supportive and individualised approaches.
The Ideal Candidate
  • Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
  • Has experience teaching primary-aged pupils, ideally within a SEND or specialist setting.
  • Has a good understanding of additional needs, which may include autism, communication difficulties, learning disabilities and social, emotional and mental health needs.
  • Can differentiate lessons effectively to meet a wide range of learning needs.
  • Demonstrates patience, empathy, resilience and a genuine passion for helping children succeed.
  • Is confident working as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
