Job summary

Aston Education Ltd in central London is seeking a dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant to support 16-19-year-old students at a Sixth Form College near Victoria station. The role involves one-on-one and small group support, helping develop and implement EHCP/LP, and working with the SEND safeguarding team.

We offer a permanent, full-time, term-time contract (8:45am–4:45pm, Monday to Friday) with an annual salary of £26,000–£28,000 and excellent benefits.

Qualifications

• Experience working with students with SEND or disabilities.
• Experience supporting learners in further education/sixth form.
• GCSE English & Maths (or equivalent) at grade C/4+.
• Level 2/3 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools.
• Training related to SEN.
• Degree or HE qualification in Computer Science or Maths is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Create a positive and inclusive learning environment with one-on-one or small group support.
• Develop and implement EHCP/LP, ensuring appropriate interventions.
• Work as part of the SEND safeguarding team.
• Assist with classroom activities, monitor progress, and maintain records.
• Support students in exams as a reader or scribe.
