Job summary

Protocol Education Ltd. is seeking compassionate SEND Teaching Assistants to support children with complex needs across Sheffield, Rotherham and Barnsley. The role involves personal care, moving and handling, and contributing to a nurturing classroom environment.

You'll work with schools to provide tailored support, helping pupils stay engaged and reach their potential. Roles available across full-time and part-time schedules, with immediate and September starts.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with teachers, therapists and other professionals to create a positive learning environment

Location: Sheffield, Rotherham & Barnsley
Pay: £92.63 per day (PAYE only)
Contract: Full-time and Part-time opportunities available
Start Date: Immediate and September starts available

We're looking for compassionate and resilient Teaching Assistants to work in specialist schools across Sheffield, Rotherham and Barnsley, supporting children and young people with a range of complex learning needs.

If you're experienced in personal care and moving and handling, and you're passionate about helping every child reach their potential, we'd love to hear from you.

What you'll be doing

• Supporting pupils with complex learning needs, autism, PMLD, physical disabilities and additional needs
• Assisting with personal care, ensuring pupils are treated with dignity and respect at all times
• Using moving and handling techniques safely and confidently
• Encouraging communication, independence and emotional wellbeing
• Working closely with teachers, therapists and other professionals to create a positive learning environment
• Helping pupils take part in classroom activities and celebrate every achievement, no matter how big or small

We're looking for someone who

• Has experience supporting children or adults with complex needs
• Is confident providing personal care and moving and handling support
• Is patient, caring and able to build positive relationships
• Works well as part of a team
• Has a genuine passion for supporting children with SEND
