Job summary

Norton Primary Academy, part of Northern Education Trust, is seeking an experienced Level 3 Teaching Assistant to work across all year groups. The role supports pupils with diverse needs, including SEND, across a Good academy with 336 pupils.

You will join a vibrant team, contributing to academic and holistic development, while engaging with families and specialists. The post is fixed-term until 16 July 2027, 19 hours per week over 39 weeks (paid weeks 45.942).

Qualifications

• Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification
• Experience across year groups in a Good/Outstanding setting
• Ability to adapt strategies to meet pupil needs (SEND focus)

Responsibilities

• Provide small group support during lessons and adapt teaching methods to meet individual student needs.
• Provide intimate care for children as required.
• Prepare and adapt learning materials and support the use of technology in classrooms.
• Support students in developing social skills and positive behaviour.
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, carers and other professionals to support students.
• Undertake minor clerical duties and resource preparation.
