Job summary

Nether Edge Primary School, part of Mercia Learning Trust, invites applications for a Teaching Assistant Level 3. The role supports pupils with a range of SEND in a dedicated resource provision, working with class teachers to enhance learning and well-being. We value kindness, integrity and diligent teamwork.

The post is 37 hours per week, 39 weeks per year, permanent, with a Grade 4 FTE salary range (£27,274 to £29,542). Start date to be confirmed; closing date 1 November 2026.

Qualifications

• Ability to deliver high quality support/interventions for groups and individuals.
• Strong numerical skills are essential for monitoring pupil progress and data handling.
• Excellent communication skills with colleagues, pupils and families.
• Ability to work with initiative and adapt to changing tasks and priorities.
• Commitment to safe practice and safeguarding of pupils.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high quality support/interventions for groups and individuals.
• Assist with teaching and support of children with a wide range of special educational needs in our specialist resource provision.
• Work alongside class teachers to support learning activities and pupil development.
• Demonstrate a can-do culture and build positive relationships with pupils and adults.
• Ensure the safety and welfare of pupils in all learning environments.
