Job summary

Prospero Teaching is seeking passionate Teaching Assistants to support pupils with SEN in a Primary School in Redcar. You will work 1:1 and in small groups, delivering targeted intervention sessions and collaborating with teachers to meet diverse learning needs.

The role runs full-time until July 2027, with term-time style hours from 08:30 to 15:30. Start date is January, and Right to Work in the UK is required. DBS clearance is expected, and references will be requested.

Qualifications

• A Supporting Teaching and Learning or Childcare-based Qualification (desired).
• Experience of working with Children in Schools in the UK.
• Ability to build positive relationships and rapport with pupils and staff.
• Resilient, proactive and positive nature.
• Hold Right to Work in the UK.
• Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate (online update service or willing to apply).
• Provide two professional references covering the last two years.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils with varied SEN on 1:1 and small groups.
• Deliver intervention sessions to small groups to boost understanding and progress.
• Develop understanding of diverse learning needs and styles alongside class teachers.
• Support across the School at breaktimes and lunchtimes as required.

Prospero Teaching is looking for passionate, proactive and enthusiastic Teaching Assistants to support the learning of pupils in one of our inspirational Primary Schools in Redcar on a full-time basis. This is a fantastic opportunity to build positive relationships with pupils and have a long-term, positive impact on their lives, progress and development.

About the Role:

• The role will involve supporting pupils with varied SEN and challenging behaviour on both a 1:1 basis and in small groups. The different types of SEN that pupils have may include ASD, ADHD, SEMH, MLD and PMLD.
• The role will also involve delivering intervention sessions to small groups of pupils to boost their understanding and progress
• A key part of the role will be to develop an understanding of the different needs and learning styles of different pupils within the classroom, working closely alongside Class Teachers and colleagues to establish this.
• The role will also involve supporting across the School at breaktimes and lunchtimes as required.

• The role is based in an inspirational Primary School in Redcar.

Pay, Hours and Contract:

• Pay - Between 88-110 per day
• Hours - 08.30-15:30
• Contract - Full-time until the end of the Academic Year in July 2027. Temporary Contract.
