TeacherActive is recruiting a Level 3 SEND Teaching Assistant for a specialist SEND school in Newcastle. The role is long-term from September and involves supporting pupils with a range of complex SEND needs in both classroom and 1:1 settings.

You will help pupils engage, improve communication, and reach individual learning goals through tailored support and collaborative teamwork with staff.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children with complex SEND needs.
• Must have Level 3 TA qualification or equivalent.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide classroom and one-to-one support for pupils with complex SEND.
• Promote engagement, communication and positive learning outcomes.

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a specialist SEND school in Newcastle, supporting their search for a Level 3 SEND Teaching Assistant. The school provides a safe, inclusive and nurturing learning environment where every pupil is encouraged to develop independence, confidence and achieve their individual goals through tailored support.

The school is looking to appoint a dedicated Level 3 SEND Teaching Assistant on a long-term basis from September. The successful Level 3 SEND Teaching Assistant will work closely with pupils with a range of complex SEND needs, providing both classroom and one-to-one support while promoting engagement, communication and positive learning outcomes.

The successful Level 3 SEND Teaching Assistant will have:

• Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent
• Experience supporting children with complex SEND needs
• A caring, patient and resilient approach to supporting young people
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• The ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff
• A proactive attitude and willingness to get stuck in
