Job summary

TeacherActive is working with a specialist SEND school in Newcastle to recruit a Level 3 SEND Teaching Assistant for a long-term September start. The role involves supporting pupils with complex SEND needs in classrooms and on a one-to-one basis when needed.

You will need a Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent, along with strong communication and teamwork skills, a caring, patient and resilient approach, and a proactive attitude to help pupils reach their full potential.

Salary: £93.50 to £100 per day

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a specialist SEND school in Newcastle, supporting their search for a Level 3 SEND Teaching Assistant. The school provides a safe, inclusive and nurturing learning environment where every pupil is encouraged to develop independence, confidence and achieve their individual goals through tailored support.

The school is looking to appoint a dedicated Level 3 SEND Teaching Assistant on a long-term basis from September. The successful Level 3 SEND Teaching Assistant will work closely with pupils with a range of complex SEND needs, providing both classroom and one-to-one support while promoting engagement, communication and positive learning outcomes.

The successful Level 3 SEND Teaching Assistant will have:

• Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent
• Experience supporting children with complex SEND needs
• A caring, patient and resilient approach to supporting young people
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• The ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff
• A proactive attitude and willingness to get stuck in
