Job summary

Aspire People are recruiting Level 2 Teaching Assistants to support primary schools across Manchester and the surrounding areas.

This role involves 1:1 and small-group support, assisting with classroom activities, supporting pupils with SEND, and helping pupils develop confidence, independence, and social skills. A Level 2 TA qualification and at least 6 months UK school experience are required.

Qualifications

• Holds Level 2 Teaching Assistant or Supporting Teaching and Learning qualification.
• More than 6 months UK-based experience in a school.
• Good understanding of the primary school environment.
• Patient, reliable and supportive.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Confident supporting pupils with different needs and abilities.
• Genuine commitment to safeguarding and inclusive education.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils on a 1:1 and small-group basis.
• Assist with classroom learning and differentiated activities.
• Support pupils with SEND and additional learning needs.
• Help children develop confidence, independence and social skills.
• Support phonics, Maths, English and wider curriculum activities.
• Work closely with class teachers and support staff.
• Encourage positive behaviour and maintain a safe learning environment.
• Monitor and record pupil progress where required.
