Job summary

Aspire People is recruiting Level 3 Teaching Assistants to support primary schools in the local area. The role includes 1:1 and small-group support across EYFS to KS2, delivering targeted interventions and helping pupils develop foundational literacy and numeracy skills.

Ideal candidates hold a recognised Level 3 TA or Supporting Teaching and Learning qualification with recent UK school experience and SEND exposure.

Qualifications

• Holds a recognised Level 3 Teaching Assistant or Supporting Teaching and Learning qualification.
• Recent UK-based school experience.
• Confident supporting pupils across the primary age range.
• SEND experience is highly desirable.
• Strong understanding of classroom support and interventions.
• Patient, adaptable and proactive.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Strong commitment to safeguarding.

Responsibilities

• Providing 1:1 and small-group support
• Supporting pupils across EYFS, KS1 and KS2
• Delivering targeted learning interventions
• Supporting phonics, literacy and numeracy
• Working with pupils with SEND and additional needs
• Supporting positive behaviour and emotional regulation
• Assisting teachers with classroom learning and preparation
• Monitoring pupil progress and providing feedback
• Working closely with teachers, SENCOs and support staff
• Helping pupils develop independence, confidence and social skills
