Job summary

Hampton Lakes Primary School invites applications for a Special Educational Needs and Disabilities Assistant (SENDA). The role works with the SENDCo and Teaching Assistants to coordinate and deliver high-quality SEND provision, helping each child reach their full potential.

You will support EHCP applications and annual reviews, coordinate SEND provision, maintain records, liaise with parents and agencies, monitor progress and support intervention programmes.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children with SEND.
• Good understanding of the SEND Code of Practice and inclusive practice.
• Excellent communication, administration and ICT skills.
• Strong organisational skills with ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Ability to build positive relationships with pupils, families, colleagues and external professionals.
• Commitment to improving outcomes for children and young people.

Responsibilities

• Support EHCP applications and annual reviews.
• Coordinate SEND provision and maintain accurate records.
• Liaise with parents and external agencies; monitor pupil progress.
• Support safeguarding, Early Help and multi‑agency working as part of the safeguarding team.
