Job summary

Hampton Lakes Primary School is seeking a SEND Teaching Assistant (Level 2) to support pupils with a range of needs within a primary school setting. The role includes assisting with learning opportunities and contributing to Speech and Language programmes where required.

The position is available as temporary or permanent, with hours Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 3:30pm during term time. DBS check and safeguarding commitments apply for all successful applicants.

Qualifications

• Clear understanding of the Every Child Matters framework and a passion for helping children achieve their full potential.
• Some experience working with children and comfort in a school environment; ability to respond sensitively and appropriately to a range of situations.
• Confidence in working with young children; experience or passion for working in a primary setting is advantageous.
• Ability to engage effectively with pupils and promote positive behaviour.

We are seeking to appoint enthusiastic and compassionate individuals to join Hampton Lakes Primary School as SEND Teaching Assistants (Level 2). Both temporary and permanent positions are available.

• Support learning opportunities for all pupils as part of the SEND Teaching Assistant (Level 2) role.
• Carry out 30 minutes of Midday Supervision each day to build positive relationships with all children.

Additional information

The role supports pupils with a range of needs, including Autism, Down’s Syndrome, ADHD, and Dyslexia, and involves contributing to Speech and Language programmes where required.
