Job summary

Bottisham Village College is seeking a Teaching Assistant (Level 2) in its Learning Support Team. The role focuses on SEND support, primarily in the Reef provision for students with lower attainment, with occasional support in mainstream lessons.

The post is fixed-term until August 2027, part-time considered, term-time hours (30.83 per week over 39 weeks). Right to work in the UK is required; visa sponsorship is not offered.

Qualifications

• Pre-employment checks including Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
• Right to work in the UK, or in the process of obtaining it.
• Online presence check before interview.

Responsibilities

• Support students with SEND to access learning and build independence.
• Deliver small-group and individual interventions in literacy, metacognition, emotional resilience and communication.
• Support Reef provision students working at a lower attainment level.
