Job summary

SENse Learning seeks a Specialist Teacher to deliver one-to-one support for SEND and SEMH learners across KS1–KS5. You will work in the young people’s homes, online, and in community settings, crafting bespoke, trauma-informed lessons aligned to individual plans.

You’ll engage with families, carers, and schools to schedule sessions, while maintaining safeguarding standards. Self-employed role offering flexible hours and meaningful impact.

Qualifications

• 2+ years post-NQT teaching experience with SEND/SEMH/MLD/SALD in trauma-informed settings.
• QTS / QTLS required and enhanced DBS.
• Holistic, child-centred approach to tutoring and mentoring.

Responsibilities

• Develop strong relationships with children and young people with diverse needs.
• Provide in-person, online/remote, and hybrid tutoring and mentoring.
• Plan lessons, deliver tailored sessions, and report on student progress.
