Job summary

SENse Learning is seeking Specialist Teachers to provide one-to-one support for SEND learners, delivering sessions at home, in school, or online. Roles offer in-person, hybrid, and remote teaching with flexible scheduling and competitive pay.

You will work with students across SEMH, MLD, SLD and PMLD, planning trauma-informed, student-centred lessons for KS1–KS5. This is usually a self-employed tutor/teacher position with DBS support and safeguarding responsibilities.

Qualifications

• 2+ years post-NQT teaching experience, ideally with SEND/SEMH/MLD/SLD/PMLD.
• QTS or QTLS required; UK-based teacher eligible to work in the UK.
• Holistic, child-centred, trauma-informed teaching approach.
• Enhanced DBS and two professional references.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-person, online/remote, and hybrid tutoring and mentoring.
• Develop strong relationships and plan tailored lessons for KS1–KS5 as appropriate.
• Deliver flexible tutoring to support SEND/SEMH needs.
• Report progress and provide feedback to parents, carers, or schools.
