Job summary

Felsted School in North Essex seeks a passionate Teacher to join the Support for Learning team, delivering personalized education to pupils aged 11–18 with SEND across Years 7–13. The role covers GCSE, A Level, BTEC or IB progression and general skills for lifelong learning.

Ideally the candidate supports at least one science or maths discipline to sixth form level and assists in two Felsted Sixth Form subjects. Full-time rota includes Saturdays and tutoring duties as a norm.

Qualifications

• Qualified teacher with experience in Support for Learning (SfL).
• Experience supporting pupils with SEND including dyslexia, ASD, SEMH, MLD/SLD, and communication needs.
• Ability to contribute across subjects up to GCSE/A Level/IB as needed.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-impact education to pupils aged 11–18 with SEND across Years 7–13.
• Support GCSE, A Level, BTEC or IB progression and access to competitive institutions.
• Tutor a small group of pupils and contribute to wider school activities (Sports, CCF, DofE, MUN).
