Job summary

Tradewind Recruitment LTD. in the UK is seeking an experienced Teaching Assistant with exceptional skills in behaviour management and de-escalation to join a behavioural support team.

You will develop 1:1 mentoring, support pupils with learning, behaviour and attendance, and assist with EHWB and individual Education Plans. A Level 2/3 qualification in teaching support is required; Enhanced DBS and UK work rights are mandatory.

Qualifications

• Experience in Team Teach, Pru, alternative provision or as a support worker in a residential children's home.
• Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in teaching support or a related field.
• Enhanced DBS disclosure, overseas police clearances (if applicable) and professional references checks.
• Must have the legal right to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Work with selected pupils outside of the classroom, including those excluded or not on a normal timetable.
• Develop 1:1 mentoring arrangements with pupils to help them set plans and targets.
• Provide information and advice to help pupils make choices about learning, behaviour and attendance.
• Support pupils' emotional health and well-being (EHWB).
• Involve helping pupils follow individual Education Plans and assist in running small group interventions such as circle time.
• Liaise with parents and carers as appropriate.
