Job summary

Simply Education is recruiting for a passionate and dedicated Teacher to join a small, supportive specialist education setting in the Hamilton Square area of Wirral. This SEND/SEMH role focuses on building relationships, delivering personalised lessons and helping young people re-engage with education.

Unqualified teachers with the right experience are encouraged to apply; term-time hours and a permanent contract are available for the right candidate.

Qualifications

• A degree or relevant qualification.
• GCSE/Level 2 English and Maths or equivalent.
• QTS or QTLS - desirable, but not essential.
• Experience working with children or young people.
• SEND, SEMH or Alternative Provision experience - desirable.
• Patient, resilient and flexible approach.
• Creative approach to teaching and engaging learners.

Responsibilities

• Planning and delivering engaging, personalised lessons.
• Adapting teaching to meet different abilities and needs.
• Supporting pupils with SEND, SEMH and barriers to learning.
• Creating a calm, safe and positive learning environment.
• Working with colleagues, families and external professionals.
• Monitoring progress and celebrating achievements.
