Job summary

Suffolk County Council is seeking a senior programme leader to drive the SEND Reform Transformation Programme, turning priorities into delivery plans with milestones and measurable outcomes.

You will unite education, health, social care, schools and families, providing governance, managing dependencies, and using data to monitor performance while building multi-agency partnerships across sectors for sustained reform.

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading large-scale transformation and improvement programmes.
• Expert programme management, governance and delivery skills.
• Strong SEND leadership knowledge of statutory frameworks.
• Excellent partnership-building and stakeholder management.
• Highly developed analytical, reporting and communication capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide robust programme governance and assurance, actively managing risks, dependencies, reporting and escalation while supporting inspection readiness.
• Build strong multi-agency partnerships across education, health, social care, schools, families and the voluntary and community sector to secure shared ownership of reform.
• Use data, intelligence and stakeholder feedback to monitor performance, demonstrate impact and drive continuous improvement.
