Job summary

Axcis Education Recruitment is seeking experienced Primary Teaching Assistants to support SEND pupils in welcoming and inclusive schools across the Kidderminster area. These full-time roles start in September and offer an opportunity to make a genuine difference as children receive tailored support to achieve their full potential.

You will work with class teachers and SEND professionals to promote academic progress, independence, confidence and emotional wellbeing, including implementing IEPs

Qualifications

• Experience supporting pupils with SEND, including autism, ADHD, SEMH or learning difficulties.
• An Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.
• Availability to work Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 4:00pm.
• Strong communication skills and a proactive, nurturing approach.

Responsibilities

• Support class teachers with the delivery of differentiated learning activities for pupils with SEND.
• Provide one-to-one and small-group interventions to support learning and engagement.
• Implement individual education plans (IEPs), behaviour support strategies and classroom adaptations.
• Use assistive technology, visual aids and other specialist resources to support pupil development.
• Monitor, record and report on pupil progress and achievements.
• Encourage a positive, safe and inclusive learning environment.
• Support the social, emotional and behavioural development of pupils.
• Work collaboratively with teaching staff, SENCOs, parents and external professionals.
• Contribute to safeguarding responsibilities and attend relevant meetings and training.
