Here at Protocol, we are seeking experienced SEND Teaching Assistants specializing in the management and understanding of Social, Emotional, and Mental Health needs (SEMH) for roles within our schools in Sheffield.
A successful candidate will be approachable and patient, with good communication skills. They will have experience working with children from various backgrounds and with different needs, understanding that each individual's requirements are unique and not suited to a one-size-fits-all approach. Good de-escalation skills and Team Teach training are desirable but not essential.
Responsibilities for a SEMH Teaching Assistant include 1:1 interventions, record keeping, communication support, and ensuring all children have equal opportunities to engage in the classroom, including making necessary adaptations.
