Job summary

Rye College in East Sussex is seeking a SEND Practitioner- SLCN to support students with SEND across key stages 3 and 4 and within the College Community. The role focuses on developing SLCN across the school and will also assist with other vulnerable learners.

The ideal candidate will have SEND experience, strong communication and teamwork, and a commitment to inclusivity; term-time only with pro rata salary. This is a role within Rye College under East Sussex guidance.

Qualifications

  • Experience working with pupils with SEND and difficulties.
  • Knowledge of SEND Code of Practice and its application.
  • Ability to manage a multifaceted workload and prioritise tasks.
  • Strong written and spoken communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Willingness to develop further and improve current skills.

Responsibilities

  • Support the SENCo to develop SEND provision across key stages 3 and 4.
  • Contribute to development of SLCN across the school and college community.
  • Support other vulnerable learners within the community.
