Job summary

Bedford College Group is seeking a Pathways Lecturer to join the Foundation and Additional Learning Support Department at Central Bedfordshire College, Dunstable, on a permanent full-time basis. The role delivers personalised SEND teaching, prepares for adulthood, and supports inclusive learning, progression towards employment and independence.

You will collaborate with teaching staff, families, therapists, and external partners, while upholding safeguarding and professional standards.

Qualifications

• Relevant degree or Level 5 qualification or willingness to achieve a teaching qualification.
• GCSE Maths and English at minimum level.
• Commitment to ongoing CPD and SEND training.

Responsibilities

• Personalised SEND Teaching tailored to EHCP outcomes and individual needs.
• Preparing for Adulthood: develop communication, independence and life skills for progression.
• Inclusive Learning & Progress: adapt teaching and resources to meet diverse needs and evidence learner progress.
• Collaborative Multi-Disciplinary Working with therapists and specialists for learner outcomes.
• Curriculum, Safeguarding & Quality: contribute to curriculum development and safeguarding.
