Job summary

Prospero Teaching is recruiting a Nurture Teacher for a SEND School in the United Kingdom. You will plan and deliver differentiated lessons, supporting pupils with Autism, ASC, SEMH, ADHD, and other needs, helping them grow socially, emotionally, and academically in a safe, nurturing environment.

The role offers a supportive leadership team, small class sizes, ongoing professional development, and access to specialist resources and therapy support, with career progression within the SEND

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
• Experience in SEND, Alternative Provision, specialist settings or mainstream with additional needs.
• Nurturing, trauma-informed approach to teaching.
• Strong classroom management and behaviour support skills.
• Patient, resilient and passionate about supporting vulnerable learners.
• Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver differentiated lessons tailored to individual pupil needs.
• Create an inclusive learning environment that promotes emotional wellbeing.
• Collaborate with teaching assistants, therapists and senior leaders.
• Monitor pupil progress and adapt teaching approaches as required.
