Job summary

Monarch Education is seeking a SEND Mentor to support learners with additional needs through personalised, community-based learning programmes. You will work 1:1 and in small groups to build confidence, independence, and social skills, delivering activities across community learning, fitness, cooking, and creative projects.

The role focuses on learners with SEND and SEMH, including those who have experienced trauma or EBSA.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting learners with SEND or SEMH.
• Ability to work 1:1 and in small groups.
• Ability to engage learners through practical activities.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 and small-group support to learners.
• Deliver activities to develop confidence, independence, social skills and emotional wellbeing.
• Lead community-based learning, fitness, cooking and creative projects.
• Support learners to achieve targets in their EHCP.
• Encourage positive social interaction and communication skills.
