Job summary

Prospero Teaching is seeking a caring SEND Lunchtime Supervisor for a primary school in Lewisham. The role covers lunchtime supervision, playground support, and personal care assistance from 11:30am to 1:30pm, Monday to Friday (10 hours per week).

Start date is to be confirmed, with a warm, inclusive environment for pupils with ASD and SLD. Ideal candidates will have experience with SEND, strong safeguarding awareness, and a patient, proactive approach to supporting children's wellbeing and

Qualifications

Experience with primary-aged children with SEND.
Experience supporting children with ASD and SLD.
Ability to provide personal care where required.
Patient, compassionate, proactive approach.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
Commitment to safeguarding and children's welfare.
Enhanced DBS check completed or willingness to obtain.

Responsibilities

Supervise pupils during lunchtime and playground activities.
Encourage positive social interaction and inclusive play.
Support children with ASD and SLD in managing sensory needs.
Provide personal care support including toileting and hygiene.
Promote independence, dignity, and wellbeing.
Maintain a safe, positive lunchtime environment.
Follow individual care plans, behaviour support strategies, and safeguarding procedures.
