Job summary

Prospero Teaching is seeking a caring SEND Lunchtime Supervisor for a primary school in Lewisham. You will supervise pupils during lunchtime and on the playground, supporting those with ASD and SLD to stay safe, calm and engaged.

The role involves personal care where required, promoting inclusion and ensuring safeguarding procedures are followed. 2 hours daily, Monday to Friday, 11:30am–1:30pm, about 10 hours per week.

Qualifications

• Experience working with primary-aged children with SEND.
• Experience supporting children with ASD/SLD.
• Ability to provide personal care support where required.
• Patient, compassionate and proactive approach.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting children's welfare.
• An enhanced DBS check or willingness to complete the required checks.

About the Role

We are currently seeking a caring, patient, and enthusiastic SEND Lunchtime Supervisor to join a primary school in Lewisham.

This role involves supporting primary-aged pupils with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD) during the lunchtime period. The successful candidate will help ensure pupils remain safe, happy, and supported throughout lunchtime, including on the playground and during personal care routines where required.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about supporting children with additional needs in a nurturing and inclusive school environment.
