Job summary

TeacherActive is seeking a SEND Learning Support Assistant / SEND LSA to support students in a Northeast London setting. Immediate start with a payroll via PAYE and potential for longer placement.

You will work with pupils across all Key Stages who have Autism/ASD, SLD and challenging behaviours, requiring proactive, patient and nurturing approaches. The role may start short-term with potential for extension.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children with additional needs or disabilities.
• Experience working with students with SEMH and challenging behaviours.
• Level 2 or 3 CACHE or equivalent required; Team-Teach/MAPA qualifications desirable.

Responsibilities

• Support students across Key Stages with autism/ASD, SLD and challenging behaviours.
• Contribute to a positive classroom environment and support teaching staff.
• Adapt approaches to individual student needs and maintain safeguarding standards.

Skills
