Job summary

TeacherActive is seeking a committed SEND Learning Support Assistant (LSA) for a SEND school in Southeast London to support pupils across key stages. You will work with students diagnosed with Autism/ASD, SLD and SEMH, bringing a patient, nurturing approach and the ability to adapt to individual needs.

This is an immediate start with potential for a long-term placement for the right candidate. The role offers ongoing CPD and competitive PAYE rates, with 24/7 consultant support and a referral

Qualifications

• Experience working with children with additional needs / disabilities
• Experience working with students with Social Emotional Mental Health (SEMH) and challenging behaviours
• Level 2 or 3 CACHE or equivalent

Responsibilities

• Support pupils across all Key Stages with Autism/ASD, SLD and challenging behaviours
• Be a proactive, calm presence able to take control of situations when needed
• Adapt to individual needs to help students progress academically and emotionally
