Job summary

TeacherActive is urgently recruiting SEND Teaching Assistants to support a specialist day school in Redditch, Birmingham. The role involves 1:1 and small-group support for pupils aged 9–13 with SEND, with an emphasis on developing communication, independence and confidence.

TeacherActive is urgently recruiting SEND Teaching Assistants to support a specialist day school in Redditch, Birmingham.

The school supports pupils aged 9–13 with special educational needs and/or disabilities arising from cognition and learning difficulties.

It provides a specialist, nurturing environment where pupils receive individualised support to help them overcome barriers to learning and develop their confidence, communication and independence.

The Opportunity

Due to an immediate need for additional support, the school is looking to appoint SEND Teaching Assistants for both day-to-day and long-term opportunities.

As a SEND Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers and support staff to provide effective 1:1 and classroom support. You will play a key role in helping pupils access their learning, develop their communication and social skills, and become more independent.
