Job summary

Stamford School is seeking a Learning Development Assistant to support students with SEND, focusing on regulation needs and learning engagement. You will deliver targeted small-group interventions and collaborate with teaching staff to embed best practice.

Working closely with the Director of Learning Development and Heads of Department, you will help identify needs, monitor progress, and contribute to safeguarding and inclusion across the school community.

Responsibilities

  • The role involves working directly with students, delivering targeted small group interventions to improve self-regulation, engagement, and independence.
  • Support teaching staff to embed best practice for students with regulation needs through lesson observations and feedback.
  • Assist with assessments and examination access arrangements and provide cover across the Learning Development team as needed.
  • Work closely with the Director of Learning Development (SENCo) and the Deputy SENCo, as well as with teaching staff and Heads of Department, to determine the nature of the required support.
  • Foster a close working relationship with colleagues; contribute to safeguarding and inclusion across the school.
