Job summary

Hare Street Community Primary School & Nursery in Harlow, Essex, is seeking two SEND Learning Support Assistants. The roles are 27.5 hours per week with a salary of £16,567 per annum, permanent terms, starting immediately.

The school invites applicants who are enthusiastic and caring to join our inclusive team. You will provide targeted support for children with SEND in class, in small groups or 1:1, and collaborate with the SENDCo to deliver personalised learning and care plans.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children with SEND in a school or childcare setting.
• Understanding of autism, speech and language difficulties, or social/emotional needs.
• Patience, empathy and excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide targeted support for children with SEND in class and in small-group or 1:1 settings.
• Work closely with class teachers and the SENDCo to deliver personalised learning and care plans.
• Help create a positive, nurturing environment where each child can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.
