Job summary

London South East Colleges (LSEC) is seeking a dedicated role to support learners with SEND, including young people and adults. You will help them access college services, engage with activities, and develop study skills identified in their EHCPs.

You may provide personal care or mobility assistance as needed, ensuring dignity and respect. Strong communication and safeguarding awareness are essential in a diverse learning environment.

Qualifications

• You will need strong literacy and numeracy to support learning outcomes.
• You should be able to build trusting relationships with learners and staff.
• You must understand safeguarding and barriers faced by learners with additional needs.
• You may support learners with personal care and mobility needs with sensitivity.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality learning and accessibility support to learners with SEND.
• Help learners access College services and activities and develop study skills.
• Offer person-centred support, respecting independence and autonomy.
• Support both individuals and small groups, adapting your approach as needed.
• Maintain calm, professional and learner-focused conduct in varied situations.
