Job summary

Knight Education is seeking a SEND Learning Support Assistant for a Hampshire independent school from September 2026. This is a full‑time, permanent role with standard hours (Mon–Thu 8:30–16:00, Fri 8:30–13:00).

You will work under the teacher’s guidance to support pupils’ education, personal and social development, monitor needs, and contribute to the school’s inclusive programme. The successful candidate will be resilient, cheerful, patient and a strong team player, committed to safeguarding.

Responsibilities

• Support the education, personal and social development of pupils under the teacher’s guidance.
• Monitor personal, social and emotional needs of pupils.
• Develop positive relationships to aid pupil progress and attainment.
• Assist in devising and reviewing pupils’ individual targets.
• Support pupils as part of an inclusion programme.
• Provide support to pupils at playtime as necessary.
