Job summary

Brent Knoll Primary Pre-school is seeking a dedicated SEND Learning Support Assistant to provide 1:1 support for a pupil with SEND. This fixed-term, term-time role offers 18.75 hours weekly (Tue, Thu, Fri) at £13.28 per hour, with potential hours increasing when the pupil moves to full-time education.

The role focuses on assisting with learning plans, promoting inclusion, and safeguarding, within a supportive team at the Brent Knoll campus of The Wessex Learning Trust.

Qualifications

  • Experience of supporting children with additional needs, including SEND.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Nurturing, patient and positive approach to supporting children’s learning and wellbeing.
  • Initiative, flexibility and adaptability in a busy classroom environment.
  • Clear understanding of safeguarding and commitment to promoting the welfare of all children.

SEND Learning Support Assistant 1:1 Role

18.75 hours per week, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday

Fixed term contract for as long as the child remains with us; hours may increase when the child starts full-timeeducation

Grade 15 point 3 £13.28 per hour. Term time only

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join us at Brent Knoll Primary Pre-school. We are looking for a dedicated SEND Learning Support Assistant to join our friendly and supportive team. This is a fantastic opportunity to provide 1:1 support to a pupil in our pre-school with SEND and help them thrive in their learning journey.

Responsibilities
  • Support a specific pupil with their learning, development, and well-being
  • Assist in implementing Individual Learning Plans, working closely with the keyworker and pre-school manager and SENDCo to adapt learning activities
