TeacherActive is seeking a caring Learning Support Assistant to support primary-aged pupils with SEMH needs in Bristol. The role requires Team Teach training, with a January 2027 start and full-time hours from Monday to Friday.

What will you be doing?

• Supporting children with social, emotional and mental health needs
• Providing one-to-one and small-group learning support

• Building trusting relationships with pupils who may find school challenging
• Supporting teachers in creating a calm, structured and inclusive classroom
• Celebrating progress in learning, behaviour and personal development

Who are we looking for?

• Hold a Team Teach qualification
• Have experience supporting children with SEND or SEMH needs
• Are confident using positive behaviour support and de-escalation techniques
• Have a patient, calm and understanding approach
• Enjoy working with primary-aged children across KS1 and KS2
• Can build positive relationships with pupils and school staff
• Are available full-time from January 2027
• Have you worked as a SEND teaching assistant, learning support assistant or in a specialist education setting?
