Job summary

Peak Education Recruitment Ltd is seeking a SEND Learning Support Assistant in West Drayton to start September on a temp to contract basis. The role is full‑time, Monday to Friday, paying £15.35‑£16.65 per hour, with long‑term potential and weekly pay via umbrella.

You will work 1:1 and in small groups with pupils with autism and complex needs, using visual timetables and sensory strategies, collaborating with teachers and therapists in a supportive, inclusive setting.

Qualifications

• Genuine passion and enthusiasm for working with autism and complex needs.
• Previous SEND experience or relevant background ( psychology, sports, youth work).
• DBS on the Update Service is required.
• Reliability, resilience and a calm, caring approach.

Responsibilities

• Providing 1:1 and small-group support for pupils with SEND.
• Assisting with communication, emotional regulation and sensory strategies.
• Using tools such as visual timetables, now/next boards and personalised learning resources.
• Supporting pupils through structured routines, transitions and behaviour plans.
• Working closely with teachers, therapists and the wider SEND team.
• Contributing to a positive, encouraging and inclusive classroom environment.
• Helping pupils build confidence, independence and engagement in learning.

A highly inclusive and forward‑thinking specialist setting in West Drayton is seeking a committed SEND Learning Support Assistant to join their team from September. This is a long‑term role, working Monday to Friday, supporting pupils with a range of complex needs in a nurturing, structured environment.
