Job summary

St Aidan's Primary School in St Helens is seeking a Learning Assistant Level 2 with SEND to join the nursery team on a temporary contract until 31 March 2027. Hours are 8.45am–12.30pm, Monday to Friday, term-time plus inset days.

You will support learning, play and communication, helping children feel safe, valued and ready to learn. We are looking for someone with SEND experience, a warm, consistent approach, and the ability to work well in a team.

Qualifications

• Experience of supporting young children, particularly those with SEND.
• Important to build warm relationships and maintain a consistent approach.
• Be flexible, enthusiastic and work well as part of a team.
• Share commitment to helping every child learn and grow.

Responsibilities

• Support children's learning, communication and play.
• Help children develop confidence, independence and positive relationships.
• Work closely with Nursery staff to provide inclusive, personalised support.
