Job summary

E-ACT Pathways Academy in Sheffield is seeking a Level 2 Teaching Assistant with a SEND specialism to join our committed team. You will provide tailored support to students with diverse learning needs, helping them access learning, build confidence and make progress.

Working closely with teachers and pastoral staff, you will help create an inclusive, nurturing classroom, monitor student progress and support positive behaviour in line with academy policies.

Qualifications

• GCSE English and Mathematics at grade C/4 (or equivalent).
• Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide targeted support for students with SEND to access learning and progress.
• Work with teachers to adapt activities, resources and learning approaches to meet individual needs.
• Foster positive relationships with students, promoting confidence, independence and wellbeing.
• Assist in managing behaviour in line with academy policies and individual plans.
• Monitor, record and report on student progress and wellbeing to staff and SEND professionals.
• Support students during lessons, break times, visits and other activities as required.
