Ernesford Grange Community Academy in Coventry is seeking an innovative and committed Teacher of SEND for KS3. You will carry out duties of a subject teacher, supporting a class with SEND to reach age-related expectations through adaptive, engaging lessons across core subjects.

The right candidate will have Qualified Teacher Status, a degree in a relevant subject, and strong knowledge of differentiation and speech, language and communication needs.

Qualifications

  • Qualified Teacher Status or equivalent qualification.
  • Degree in a relevant subject area or Primary/Secondary Education.
  • Excellent knowledge of adaptive teaching strategies and differentiation for students with SEND.
  • Knowledge of speech, language, and communication difficulties and strategies to support barriers to learning.
  • Exceptional classroom teaching skills to plan, differentiate and deliver high-quality lessons across multiple core subjects.
  • Experience working within SEND settings, nurture provisions or adaptive primary/secondary environments.

Responsibilities

  • Carry out the duties of a subject teacher as set out in the Teacher's Pay & Conditions Document.
  • Provide outstanding, nurture-focused teaching to a KS3 class group with SEND.
  • Adapt curriculums to support students to make progress and meet age-related expectations.
