Job summary

Walsall College is seeking a SEND Job Coach to join the Supported Learning department on a part-time basis. The role provides end-to-end support for students to access meaningful work experiences, in line with SEND Code of Practice and Preparation for Adulthood.

You will work closely with curriculum and support teams, students, their parents/carers and relevant professionals to create accessible opportunities for work experience and to support employers in preparing workplaces for student

Job description

We currently have a rare opportunity for someone to join our supported learning department as a SEND Job Coach on a part time basis.

The role of the SEND Job Coach is to provide end to end support for students in the Supported Learning department to access meaningful experiences of work. In line with the SEND Code of Practice and Preparation for Adulthood, students with Learning Difficulties and/or Disabilities must have opportunities to achieve employment related outcomes.

As a SEND Job Coach you will work closely with the curriculum and support teams, students, their parents/carers and any other relevant professional agencies to develop accessible opportunities for work experience. Supporting employers is an essential aspect of the role to ensure the workplace is ready and equipped with the relevant skills and knowledge to support students to be successful in their work placement.
