Job summary

Barnardo's Liverpool & Knowsley SENDIASS is seeking an Information & Administration Support Officer (PW1), 21 hours per week over 3 days, based at 109 Eaton Road, West Derby, Liverpool. The role may involve some community support in Liverpool & Knowsley.

You will provide information, impartial advice and guidance by telephone and email to families and professionals, promote online resources, and work with SENDIASS case workers within a small team.

Qualifications

• Be able to give good quality statutory information, advice & support to families and professionals via telephone and email to aid self-advocacy.
• Up-to-date knowledge of SEND legal framework and statutory procedures including education, health, and social care.
• Familiar with The Children and Families Act (2014), SEND Code of Practice 2015, Equality Act 2010, and IAS national standards.
• Qualification in Special Educational Needs (e.g., IPSEA Level 3) or willingness to work towards it.

Responsibilities

• Promote web-based support and resources for families and young people.
• Provide telephone and email information, advice and guidance.
• Work both independently and as part of a small SENDIASS team, supporting case workers as needed.
