Job summary

Cheshire College - South & West is seeking an Inclusive Learning Advisor for Ellesmere Port campus to support students with SEND and inclusion needs. You will deliver high quality support to help learners reach their educational potential, coordinating assessments, reviews and personalised plans.

Based at Ellesmere Port campus, you will work with teaching staff to plan appropriate support, ensure safeguarding, and lead EHCP consultations and annual reviews as required.

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent.
• Level 2 in English and Maths or equivalent.
• Evidence of ongoing professional development.
• Experience of working in a learning support capacity.
• Good working knowledge of SEND and inclusion needs.
• Understanding of equality, diversity and inclusion in work and learning environments.
• Excellent safeguarding knowledge.
• Ability to develop positive working relationships.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct inclusive support for a caseload of students with SEND and inclusion needs.
• Undertake pre-entry assessments and regular reviews of students.
• Liaise with staff in planning support for learners with SEND, including exam arrangements and careers advice.
• Produce SEND support plans.
• Lead on EHCP consultations and annual reviews.
